Gavyn

I've gotten a lot of nephew time the past couple days. He stayed with me Saturday night, because my sister and her husband had a dinner to go to. Tonight, he's staying with me, because Kimmie needs to be in Everett at 6am tomorrow, however his daycare doesn't open til 6am... there's a problem there. So, to be nice to me, she asked if he could just stay with me instead of waking me up at 5:30 in the morning. Logic. :)

I made the mistake of taking him past the toy section in Target tonight... and well, he was long over due for his bed time. We did get through it, but it was traumatic for him. He got Thomas the Tank Engine car out of it. Hey, I'm his Auntie, I'm suppose to spoil him. :)

He's stinkin cute.

I'm back from vacation and having a bit of a hard time. I kind of feel like I've miss a lot while I was gone. I'm not sure why. Things are just the same as they were before I left...

I've emailed a couple people about some though stuff and haven't heard back. It's so hard to wait, especially when you don't know how they will respond, or if they will respond.

I'm also having a hard time with feeling like an outsider with the church group I've joined. I don't know how to establish myself. I've also lost some contact with some really good friends, and rekindling a friendship has been hard and awkward... which makes me believe that I'm to one who let the friendship down.

I guess I need to spend more time with God, and keep working on defining myself in Him. I'm actually going to bed now.

Blue Like Jazz - Donald Miller

I just read this book over my trip to DL. There was one quote in it that stood out to me.

"Hatred seemed... to be the product of ignorance."

What do you all this about this quote?

A picture for Ashley

Sorry it's kinda blurry.

Our new friends

"We're off to see Mickey the wonderful mouse of all"

"I'm off to see Goofy, the wonderful dog of all"

"We're off to go to Knotts, to visit our friend Snoopy"

One day and counting

HI HO, HI HO is off to Disneyland I go.
To see Denise and play all day,
HI HO, HI HO, HI HO, HI HO

So, Disneyland doesn't quite fit, but whatever. It is a clever song.

Disney Dork

I'm still alive...

Work's been super crazy... I haven't really had a life outside of it.

Going to Disneyland with my best, good friend Denise in a couple weeks! We both need this vacation.

Sprained my ankle real bad... at my bosses house... on valentines day... because my friend left her phone in the house. It's actually pretty amusing... after the fact. I'm still needing to take drugs and wear a brace. This won't take away from me the joy of my up coming trip. I'll be with Denise, and that's what really matters. :)

My hot date with Erin

I came home from work and we wanted to do something. We couldn't decide what to do, so I suggested we just drive some where and see where we end up. Entrance in a deep conversation about boys, she subconsciously pulled in the parking lot of QFC in the U-village... I live in Shoreline (north seattle). We don't know why... but bought cookies and came back to my place for some hot drinks. What an outing!

My geometry students have midterms this week. Geometry is NOT my best math subject. Too much memorization. Not enough numbers/variables. I'm an algebra girl. Too bad I'm the only tutor who can even attempt tutoring geometry... wish me luck because I'm going to need A LOT of it.

I'm extremely pissed off right now. I've just started a puzzle and it's a puzzle that doesn't hold together very well until you get more pieces to it. Well, my cat decided to get up on the table and ran over my puzzle. The pieces are all over the floor. I've started this puzzle over about 4 times now. She is now in the bathroom, possible for the night.

I'm lonely... but Erin is moving back next weekend, so that should help some. :)
I've been having headaches... they probably have to do with stress. I'm not sure why things are so stressful. I guess I have difficult students and a long list of things to do at work with not enough time/hours to get it all done in. Could all of that be the cause?

So... one way to get you to clean your kitchen is to spray grape juice all over it. While it gave me a work out, I do not recommend it. My floor is still sticky, even after I've moped it down like 10 times.

And the world might be ending... I bought a pair of jeans...

I don't know how many days later...

I'm sitting at work right now, so I can't type too much. Tutoring starts in about 45 minutes, which I'm excited about. Have I mentioned that I love my job? The awesome part is my students love me. I received generous gifts from a few of my students. I also receive gifts from Keith and Nancy, Beka, and Carol! It's nice to know that I'm doing a good job.

Such a big difference from last year! Holy Elephant! (I'm tired of cow)

I will get to the craziness of the holidays later. Oh boy.

Not Good, People, NOT GOOD!

I'm mega snowed in. Going home for Christmas?

It started snowing at 3:30pm today. It's now 11:40 and we have a good 4 to 6 inches. Yeah that might not seem like a lot, but it doesn't seem like it's going to lighten up anytime soon... and may I point out that it's flippin' seattle! We got snow last year. We're only suppose to see it like every 10 years!

Hopefully my Mom can come get me either tomorrow or Monday. This is putting a BIG damper on the "visiting friends when they come into town" thing. Ashley... I haven't seen you in over two years? I don't remember it's been that long. Erin... yeah, I just miss you. Denise and Andrew... you're here til 29th. I'm hoping this junk will stop by then. Then, Matty... :(.

Oh, please stop snowing!

9 days later...

It's been snowing. I got up about 9am and it was snowing. It finally stopped about an hour ago. I love the snow. It's looks pretty. But, it gets old after awhile. I love my job. I love the people... I need human contact. Sorry Chloe. You can only keep me company for so long. She sleeps all day anyways.

Whatsa been happenin'?
~Mom's Nutcracker Thanksgiving weekend. Sister's Nutcracker the next weekend. A lot of nutcracking going on... Yes, terrible joke.
~ Chloe ate a caterpillar. She was puking for a couple days. Took her to the vet, they did some stuff, and I took home one angry cat. Found out he lost 2 1/2 lbs in 6 months!
~ Work at Disney on Monday for the first time since Thanksgiving. Lets not think about what's going to happen in a couple weeks, kay?
~ Hung out with Matty several times last week. He's in Spokane for a few days. Coming back for a few days. Going back to Spokane for a few more days. Coming back here for a few days... until he leaves for India for a couple of months. Are we jealous?
~ Went to an absolutely beautiful Christmas Concert with Danielle at her church Saturday night. My favorite was the Ensemble choir. They were the advance choir that even the director was apart of. Everyone else had their binders to read from, but she was so good, she didn't need one! Naturally she stood out. It was too bad she lost her voice by the last song.
~ The next day was my church's children Christmas program. They were so cute! I'll forever remember them singing "GO! Tell it on the Mountain"
~ After church, I went home, baked browns with crushed candy canes sprinkled on top, then headed off to my church group's Christmas party. Very fun times. We played this game:
You have a piece of paper,
1. Write a boys name, fold the paper back so no one can read it, and pass to the next person
2. Write a girls name, fold and pass.
3. Write what they are doing, keeping it appropriate, fold and pass.
4. Write where they are, fold and pass.
5. Write a line of what the boys said....
6. Write a line of what the girl said...
7. Then Write a conclusion...
Now put them in a hat/bag, mix them up, have everyone draw one, and read.
I don't remember the rest of the story, but I married Bill Clinton. Ew. I'm trying not to go on a political rant, though...
~ Tutoring: we're getting a new networking system. I've been allowed to participate in the training, and that requires me to listen in on a conference call Tuesday mornings at 8:30am. I love feeling important. :)
~ Also, work was canceled yesterday, today, and probably the rest of the week due to this snow. I can appreciate it for right now, since I've had a list of about 20 things I need to do before Christmas. And it's nice to relax for the first time since September. Ha. However I'll be ready to get back to life on Saturday, because I get to go ICE SKATING! I'm excited and I'm hoping I can go. :)

Whew. I hope I didn't forget anything, and if I did, oh well. I can post about it later. :)

Ha. Some of you might enjoy this.

"Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of shit."

Christmas

My favorite Christmas songs are "The First Noel" and "O Holy Night". What are yours?

"That was total wicked."

Sitting at home... watching the Incredibles. It's on TV. :) It's been a long but good week. Worked for Disney today... black friday. Oh boy. Actually it wasn't that busy. They sent me home early. I'm sad that I wasn't behind the register today. I'm also worried because they are cutting people already. This doesn't seem good to me, especially since I don't have a solid shift next week.

Thanksgiving was good. Got to play with my nephew. That's the best part to the holidays... I mean for the last year and a half. :) Might be heading to the parents, for the 3rd time this week, tomorrow. It's Nutcracker weekend. I should be a supportive daughter since I am free tomorrow night, right? Ha... yeah, right. We'll see how tired I am tomorrow.
